Just to let you know following a review of the Tuesday morning Garda Satellite Clinic at Donabate Portrane Community Centre in consultation with Superintendant Donnelly the decision has been taken to discontinue this clinic for the remainder of the summer. Unfortunately the uptake and attendance at the clinic has been very low and in fact some weeks their have been no callers at all. However it is now proposed to trial 3 Evening Garda Clinics at the Community Centre on 3 separate dates from 7-9pm for the remainder of the summer with a further review again in September. It is hoped by switching to the evening times of 7-9pm at the Centre the uptake and footfall to the clinic will be much improved. The Clinic will take place on the following dates.
Thursday 27th July 7-9pm Donabate Portrane Community Centre.
Thursday 10th August 7-9pmDonabate Portrane Community Centre.
Thursday 24th August 7-9pmDonabate Portrane Centre.
I sincerely hope the switch to the evenings will encourage a much improved attendance at the clinic so can everyone please let their families, friends and neighbours know about the Garda Clinic in Donabate and the fact it is now taking place in the evenings. If you have any concerns or issues around policing please don’t hesitate to drop into the clinic and talk to the Gardai in confidence. You can of course also telephone Swords Garda Station at 01-6664700.
Thanks to Superintendant Donnelly, Inspector Woods and Sgt Ferguson with their colleagues for their ongoing commitment to policing in Donabate Portrane and be assured I and my public representative colleagues will continue to campaign for overall much improved Garda Resources for the peninsula and wider Swords area.
