Community Council AGM 2010

The AGM of the Donabate Portrane Community Council will take place on Monday 26th April at 8:15pm in the Donabate Portrane Community and Leisure Centre.

All are welcome and our guest speaker will be Peter McVerry SJ.

We currently have a number of vacancies to fill on the council and welcome nominations to the council from a diverse cross section of the community. Prospective members must be willing to attend monthly meetings of the Council and take on additional voluntary duties as required.

Christmas Lighting Up Ceremony

The Donabate Portrane Community Council with the Lambay
Singers and the Donabate Chamber of Commerce has organised for a second year a
"lighting up ceremony" of Christmas lights on Saturday 5th
December at 7.15pm. The events will take place in the car park of St.
Patrick's RC church, Donabate.

Tidy Towns Competition
Congratulations to Donabate Tidy Towns Committee following the publication of this years national results. The committee ensured Donabate gained a 5 point increase from last year with a good overall total of 245 points. Well Done to all volunteers.

Traffic delays and power outages : 27th/28th July

Traffic delays and power outages : Tues 27th, Wed 28th July 2010

 

Residents will have been aware that last week the ESB replaced several electricity poles in the village.  

Tomorrow and Wednesday, there will be more traffic delays due to the insulation of poles along the Portrane Rd.

From the village to the Community Centre will be affected Tuesday; Community Centre to Portrane the following day.

There will also be power outages and the ESB will notify households due to be effected.
