Plans for St. Ita's

Following on from the Donabate Portrane Community Council meeting with Minister John Moloney (see our Newsletter for a full report) to discuss 'rumours' of the Central Mental Hospital being located in Portrane we have had further correspondence from Michael Kennedy T.D.
Michael Kennedy has received a letter from Minister Moloney stating that there will be full consultation with the local community in the event that the Government selects Portrane as the location. He has made it clear to Minister Moloney that the local community should benefit from any such decision by incorporating in the plans:

1.        A Garda Station
2.        Educational facilities
3.        Development of a forensic training college to train local and overseas graduates
4.        Bus service
