Alan Kelly T.D., Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, announced the launch of the grant funding under the 2015 Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund.
This grant scheme promotes sustainable development by assisting small scale, non-profit environmental projects at a local level.The projects are being co-funded by the Department and local authorities; with close to €400,000 being provided by the Department and a similar amount by the local authorities. In addition to the funding provided by the Department and the local authorities, the successful applicants have also raised additional funds locally, bringing the total shared partnership investment to over €1.4 million.
Funding goes to a wide range of local initiatives; including awareness and education projects, community gardens, waste reduction projects and biodiversity projects. A full list of the 2014 successful projects is available on the Department’s website link here.
The Fingal County Council allocation for 2015 will be €17,500, resulting in a total grant of €35,000. if you have a project you think might be eligible for funding, under the grant, download the application form below and send it as an electronic attachment to email@example.com or send a hard copy in the post to:- Environment and Water Services Department, Fingal county Council, County Hall, Swords, Co.
