Fingal has confirmed that the workshop tomorrow has been arranged to gauge views from those groups which are part of the “wider Donabate society in terms of sporting, social, civic”
If you are a resident, you will only be allowed to comment on the draft report after it has been finalised. This is too late in the process to meaningfully engage. We are entitled to have our voices heard at the start of the process.
In other words if you are a member of a group that receives money from Fingal, you are welcome to attend.
However, if you are a resident and you pay your local property tax which goes to Fingal, you are not welcome.
Is this fair??

Fingal County Council has confirmed that it is proceeding with the closed doors meeting tomorrow evening at 6pm in Donabate Library, despite the very serious concerns raised by DPCC.
Read the leaflet you got in through your letterbox over the weekend, read our Facebook posts and inform yourself as to what is going on here.
We will see you all at the library tomorrow evening at 6pm where we will tell Fingal County Council that nothing short of full and proper public consultation is what the community needs and demands. ...

Donabate Portrane Community Council welcomes the decision of An Bord Pleanála to refuse planning permission to Aledo Donabate Limited for a development at Corballis to construct roads and services to enable the future construction of 1,000 houses on the site.
Fingal County Council had previously granted planning permission for this development despite the objections of Donabate Portrane Community Council that this proposed development would cause serious damage to the #Malahide and #Rogerstown Special Areas of Conservation and the protected bird species that reside there.
In overturning the planning permission granted by Fingal County Council and granting the appeal of Donabate Portrane Community Council, An Bord Pleanála held that they could not be satisfied that the construction of this proposed development would not adversely impact on the integrity of the protected Special Areas of Conservation. ...
