Switching on the Christmas Lights

Christmas is coming to Donabate this coming Saturday 6th. December at 4.30 p.m. when the Christmas Lights will be switched on.

The event now in its 6th. year was a huge sucess last year with almost 1,000 residents coming along to enjoy festive refreshments and entertainment. This year promises to be just as enjoyable. There will be festive singing from a childrens choir, seasonal refreshments for everyone and a very special visitor to make sure all you kids are not being naughty but nice!

This years lights will be turned on by the three winners of the art competition running in  the three primary schools. There will be a winner drawn from each school.

The organisers are very  grateful to Karl Harte from CP Electrical who sponser the lights. Karl and his team will work all day on the 6th. installing the lights all around the village.

We are very grateful to Tesco, Supervalu, USEE, and Wisebuys. The event wouldn’t be the same without you.

A  charity collection will be held during the event in aid of St. Vincent De Paul.

A Christmas market will also take place on the same day from 2.30 to 6.30 in the Parish Hall.

Lets kick off the festive season in style!!!
